Brand New Home Rink for Jr Mission

The Chicago Mission JR Mission, are set to begin playing out of the new Rosemont Ice Arena starting with the 2025–26 season.
The new Rosemont facility is a $34.5 million constructed by Nicholas & Associates features two NHL-sized rinks, a mezzanine-level restaurant, office spaces for the Chicago Wolves and the Chicago Mission, and a physical therapy clinic. Its location near O’Hare International Airport makes it a convenient hub for both local and visiting teams.

This development is a significant step forward for the Chicago Mission program, providing enhanced facilities and accessibility for its players and families.

Chad Green has been named Director of Early Player Development for the Chicago Mission.

In this role, he will oversee selection, training, and development of players at the youngest levels, including Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, and Mite Hockey.

With his background as a Tier 2 Hockey Director, Chad understands the importance of building strong foundations from entry-level up.

A Chicagoland native, Chad excelled in hockey at Fenwick High School, earning All-State, All-Conference, and All-State Academic honors. He continued his playing career at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.

With over 25 years of coaching experience, Chad is a USA Hockey-certified Hockey Director and a Level 5 Master Coach. He has coached at all levels, from Learn to Skate to AAA, as well as high school, collegiate, and USA Hockey National Development Camps. In 2010, USA Hockey Magazine named him Coach of the Month, and he was honored as AHAI Youth Coach of the Year in 2017. Chad also has over eight years of scouting experience in the USHL, NAHL, and college. He currently serves on three AHAI committees: Coaching (CEP Instructor), Player Development (Coach & Evaluator), and the ADM Committee.

Welcome to the Jr Mission Elite Mite 8U Hockey Development Program.
(formerly known as Hockey Coyote)

In the Spring of 2021 Christian Hmura, The Chicago Mission Director of Hockey Operations, initiated the induction of AAU Mite and Squirt Minor for those players aspiring to play AAA Tier 1 hockey.

With excitement building over this idea, Hockey Coyote began the fall season of 2021 with a 9U Squirt Minor team and an 8U Mite team averaging 12 skaters and 1 to 2 goalies, which allowed for the increased development of these players. When these teams were not playing games vs the country’s top competition, they would typically have 3 to 4 practices a week. When playing away on weekends they would typically skate twice a week. Weeknights also to included off-ice training with Goodman Elite at Fifth Third Ice Arena.

This fall, coming to AAA Tier 1 hockey in Illinois, for the first time, is the inclusion of Squirt Minor level teams as part of Tier 1. We will be fielding a 7U/8U team under the Jr Mission Elite Mite 8U Hockey Development in the fall. A new name, with the same excellence in coaching and development to move these players on to AAA Tier 1 Squirt Minor Hockey.
